2025 TGMA: Gambo’s ‘Drip Remix’ nominated for International Collaboration of the Year

Accra, Mar 17, GNA – Ghanaian musician Bashir Annan, popularly known as Gambo, has seen his iconic song “Drip Remix” receive a nomination for “International Collaboration of the Year” at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

The song, which features US rapper Jima Jones and Ghanaian musician Edem, has been recognised for its powerful blend of cultures and its impact on promoting Ghanaian culture on the international scene.

The “Drip Remix” video, a masterpiece of Afro hiphop music, shot in New York, showcases Jim Jones dressed in kente like a Ghanaian king.

The display of the Ghanaian cultural heritage & pride, from the drummer to the warrior attires and display of the Ghanaian culture in the ‘Drip Remix’ video was remarkable and puts it in pole position to win the award.

The competition for the Best International Collaboration of the Year looks keen with Joe Mettle’s “Oba Awon Oba,” Stonebwoy’s “Ekelebe,’ King Promise’s ‘Continental, and Diana Hamilton’s “Doing of the Lord” nominated for the category.

The main awards night is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2025.
