Accra, Feb 8, GNA – The Yamoransa Model Labs Program, funded by the Helping Africa Foundation (HAF) and managed by IMPLEMENTERS a not-for-profit organization is to hold the fourth edition of the Annual Impact Roundtable Discussion (AIRTAD) and Robotics Competition.
The Yamoransa Model Labs originated from an idea to provide Information Communication and Technology (ICT) centre for the people of Yamoransa in 2012 through a Yale Alumni Service Corps initiative.
In 2016, the model finally evolved and has a wide range of components which includes projects and programs such as the Yamoransa labs program, the vision screening project, and the livelihoods project, among others.
The program scheduled to take place from February 22-25 in Accra, is themed on “The Yamoransa Model Impact Year: Scaling the Successes of Bridging Educational Gaps with Technology”.
For the past ten years, the Yamoransa Model Labs Program, had pioneered Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and STEM education to underserved communities across Ghana and beyond.
The program had empowered primary, junior, and secondary school students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in today’s digital world.
AIRTAD serves as a platform to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the YM Labs Program while fostering critical discussions on the future of STEAM education in Ghana.
This year’s event is in two parts, the preliminary competitions will take place on 22nd and 24th February 2025 at the Academic City Campus whiles the main event will be held on 25th and 26th February 2025 at the Cedi Conference Center, University of Ghana, Legon.
