Accra, Jan 29, GNA – Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts has met with heads of the 13 agencies under the Ministry, as part of activities marking her assumption of office as the Sector Minister.
At the meeting held at the Ministry in Accra, Madam Gomashie acknowledged the roles in of the Agencies in promoting Ghana’s Tourism, creative arts sector sectors and its rich cultural heritage.
She also challenged them to collectively work to make Ghana a tourist destination while whipping interest of Ghanaians for domestic tourism.
“I am excited to work with each of you, and I look forward to exploring ways in which we can collaborate to drive growth, innovation, and excellence in our respective sectors,” she said.”
These she said would bring revenue to the country.
She impressed on the heads to leverage technology, innovation, and creativity to drive growth and development.
Also, she urged them to pursue teamwork and collaboration with other stakeholders to help in the promotion of the sector. S
She also pledged her commitment to supporting and empowering them to excel in their respective roles.
The agency heads on their part, pledge their commitment to working for national development, and also pledged their commitment supporting government programmes and working closely the Minister to achieve her goals.
The Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts superintendents over 13 agencies including the Ghana Tourism Authority, Ghana Museums and Monuments Board, National Theatre of Ghana, National Commission on Culture, Ghana Tourism Development Company, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, and the W.E.B. Du Bois Centre.
The rest are Hotel Catering and Tourism Training Institute, Bureau of Ghana Languages, National Folklore Board, Pan African Writers Association, National Film Authority, and Creative Arts Agency.
