Adidome, (V/R). Jan. 24, GNA – Mr Guggisberg Fiagbenu, the Assembly Member of Adidome Central Electoral Area, has emphasised the importance of selecting District Chief Executives (DCEs) based on merit, rather than any other considerations.
In a statement, Mr Fiagbenu said prioritising merit in the selection process would ensure that the best candidates were chosen to serve the community.
He encouraged his colleagues to consider the qualifications, experience, and vision of the nominees, rather than any financial incentives that may be offered.
Mr Fiagbenu also highlighted the need for improved healthcare services in the Adidome community.
He appealed to the Minister and Ministry of Health to provide additional medical equipment and specialized personnel to the Adidome government hospital.
Mr Fiagbenu also suggested the establishment of a first aid center in the Adidome market to provide emergency services to market women and other community members.
He emphasised the need for an ambulance service to facilitate timely medical responses.
This, he said, would promote responsible leadership, improve healthcare services, and enhance the overall well-being of the Adidome community.
