EC to re-run parliamentary election at one Polling Station

Out of 368 collated polling stations, the difference between the NPP and NDC candidate is 165 votes.
The EC says it would await further directives from Management on the way forward.

EC decides to complete re-collation with 2 out 3 polling stations
EC Greater Accra Regional Office: 11:24AM
Results from one out of the three remaining polling stations has been found to be inconclusive.
The EC has therefore taken the decision that it would proceed with the results of the two polling stations only.
However, if at the end of the collation, the difference between the first and second candidate is minimal, such that the number of registered voters in the third polling station whose Statement of Results cannot be authenticated can influence the outcome, there would be a re-run election in that particular polling station to settle on the winner, the EC says.

Police install barrier around collation perimeter
EC Greater Accra Regional Office: 10:50AM
There is some disagreement between agents of the NDC and those of the NPP over whether or not the re-collation should proceed with the remaining three only or the entire 88 polling stations that were in contention earlier.
The EC and NDC want the collation to proceed with the three remaining polling stations. However, Mr Mike Oquaye Jnr, the NPP Parliamentary candidate for Dome-Kwabenya is proposing recount of some 88 polling stations.
The GNA has gathered that at Saturday morning IPAC meeting, the parties had agreed that the collation would proceed with the remaining three polling stations.
As a result of the disagreement, the Police has created a barrier around the collation perimeter

Accra, Dec 28, GNA – The Electoral Commission (EC) is set to continue the re-collation of parliamentary election results for the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency at its Greater Accra Regional Office, Saturday morning.
The exercise is expected to commence after an emergency Inter-Party Advisory Committee meeting convened by the EC.
Agents of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are present.
The re-collation exercise for the Constituency was suspended last week Saturday due to incomplete Statement of Results for three polling stations.
Security measures are in place as the Police have blocked inner roads linking the Greater Accra Regional Office of the Commission.
