Accra, Dec. 17, GNA – Medeama Sporting Club and head coach, Nebojsa Kapor, have mutually parted ways after his one-year contract expired.
The 38-year-old manager joined Medeama in 2023 on a one-year contract, hoping to lead the Tarkwa-based club to another league title.
The “Mauve and Yellow,” while suffering at the start of the season, appear to have regained some form midway through, sitting fifth in the league table with 21 points.
A statement released on the club’s website revealed that coach Kapor couldn’t reach an agreement with the club on contract renewal, therefore prompting parties to part ways.
“Both parties failed to reach an agreement on contract renewal. Under his leadership, Medeama SC witnessed significant progress and competitive performances in the Ghana Premier League.
“The club extends its gratitude to Coach Kapor for his contributions and wishes him success in his future endeavours,” the statement said.
It added that the club’s Technical Director, Augustine Evans Adotey, would take charge of the team pending the appointment of a substantive coach.
Medeama, following their 3-2 loss to Vision FC in match week 13, would be seeking to bounce back to winning ways when they host Karela United at the TNA Stadium.
