Langbinsi (NE/R), Dec 12, GNA – Authorities at Langbinsi Presbyterian Health Centre in the East Mamprusi Municipality of the North East Region have appealed for ambulance service and ultrasound scan machines to enable them to provide quality health care in the area.

Madam Saratu Sarah Sulemana, Midwifery Officer, Langbinsi Presbyterian Health Centre, who made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said the ambulance service would enhance health care by providing rapid medical intervention, transportation of critically ill patients, who required extra medical treatment at bigger hospitals.

She said ambulance service would ensure that patients with emergency health needs access specialised care and treatment that might not be available at the health facility.

She said the ultrasound scan machines would help in carrying out scans early to confirm that a pregnancy was developing normally and to rule out miscarriages.

She said the health facility also needed modern beds for patients on admission and called on government and other institutions to come to the aid of the facility by providing such facilities to improve care for patients in the area.
