John Mahama praised by the Orthodox Anglican Church

Sekondi, Dec. 27, GNA – The Orthodox Anglican Church of Ghana, has commended John Dramani Mahama, the President -elect for offering himself to the service of Ghana the second time.  

“We are very confident of your competence, ability, fortitude, diligence and indeed your vast experience in resetting the nation’s developmental agenda for a better Ghana”, the Bishop of the Church said in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency and signed by the Most Rev. Dr. Edward Kwamina Minnah, the Archbishop.   

He described the elections decisive of the yearning desire of Ghanaians for change….”do not also be oblivious to the many expectations of Ghanaians for such a huge confidence reposed in you.”  

The Orthodox Anglican Church of Ghana, he stated would continue to play its role in fostering the peace and unity required for nation building.  

“We have been following your statements since December 8, 2024, and as a Church what interests us most is your desire to ensure peace and stability within the Bawku enclave in the Upper East Region”.  

The Church assured the president -elect of the support of all and sundry to achieve more economic transformation for the people.  

“We pledge our wholehearted support for your presidency and your government, and we are sure that the relationship between the State and the Church will continue to grow during your tenure of office,” the statement concluded.
