Eno (WR), Nov. 02, GNA – The Residents in Eno community, a suburb in the Sekondi -Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) have called on authorities to provide them with a market to boost local economic growth.
The residents complained that the community had existed without a decent place for trade over a long period, which had led to traders scattering along roadsides and other places to do business.
Mame Adjoa Mansa, a trader, told the GNA that the lack of a market had resulted in the traders being at the mercy of the weather, either in rain or shine.
She said a central place for trading, would ensure a coordinated and organised business environment, where residents could go for any kind of goods and services.
Mr. Kojo Brenyah, a concerned resident, said, “Our wives are suffering here…we have land for the Market project, so STMA and our MP must come to our aid”.
