Cape Coast, Nov. 06, GNA — The Central Regional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has confirmed the Assin Fosu College of Education as the venue for the party’s 2026 Central Regional Conference, ending concerns over the suitability of the location.

Dr Richard Kofi Asiedu, Central Regional Chairman of the party, said the decision followed concerns raised by some members of the Regional Executive Committee, who had questioned the suitability of the venue and proposed relocating the conference.

The NDC is scheduled to hold its Central Regional Conference on November 14, 2026, to elect regional executives. The party’s Youth and Women’s Conferences will also be held at the same venue.

Presenting a motion for the adoption of the venue, Dr Asiedu emphasised the importance of inclusiveness and fairness in decisions taken by the party.

He said the party would continue to rotate its activities across the region to deepen inclusiveness and strengthen the NDC’s electoral fortunes.

Dr Asiedu noted that the confirmation of the Assin Fosu College of Education as the host venue had put to rest attempts by some members to have the conference relocated.
