Accra, 3 Oct. GNA – The National Service Authority (NSA) has urged eligible Ghanaians who previously defaulted or were unable to undertake national service, as well as foreign-trained graduates and private candidates, to complete the mandatory service.
The Authority said national service was mandatory for eligible Ghanaian graduates and urged all qualified applicants to comply with the requirements and timelines for the 2026/2027 National Service Year.
This was in a statement issued on Thursday, announcing the release of Personal Identification Numbers (PIN Codes) for defaulters, foreign-trained graduates and private candidates eligible to undertake the service.
The NSA said the release followed the completion of registration, payment, verification and approval processes for qualified applicants.
It said 7,794 applications had been received, of which 4,722 applicants had made payments, while 3,072 applications remained pending payment.
The Authority said 3,129 applications had been approved, 1,558 were pending approval, and 35 applications had been rejected.
It encouraged applicants whose applications had been approved to check their National Service PIN Codes and complete the required enrolment processes within the stipulated timelines.
The NSA also urged applicants to carefully verify the personal information associated with their PIN Codes and ensure that all details were accurate.
It said applicants who identified discrepancies or encountered registration-related challenges should contact the appropriate NSA office for assistance.
The Authority urged all persons issued PIN Codes to comply with the requirements and timelines to facilitate a smooth enrolment and deployment process.
