Istanbul (Turkey), Oct. 17, GNA – Ghanaian delegates at the 15th World Cooperation Industries Forum (WCI Forum) in Istanbul, Turkey, have concluded their participation with optimism, citing valuable network contacts and strong business prospects established during the event.

Some of the members of the delegation successfully secured partnership contracts with their Turkish business counterparts, setting the stage for enhanced trade and commercial collaboration between Ghana and Turkey.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), participating delegates expressed determination to capitalise on the momentum generated at the forum for business growth.

According to them, they would follow-up on every business negotiation and implement key observations and practices gathered during the forum to scale-up and strengthen their domestic business operations.

The forum concluded with an organised field visit to the Modoko Furniture Mall, a world-renowned complex and organised community of furniture manufacturers and interior design studios, located in Istanbul’s Ümraniye District.

During the visit, delegates received an operational briefing on the management model, collaborative structure, and supply-chain logistics of the furniture centre.

The briefing was followed by a guided tour across the facility, offering participants first-hand insights into industrial production standards, showroom design, and custom manufacturing practices.

Widely acknowledged as the “Capital of Furniture,” Modoko (Modoko Mobilyacılar Çarşısı), located in the Ümraniye district on the Asian side of the city, is one of Turkey’s oldest, largest, and most prestigious specialised trade centres dedicated entirely to furniture, interior design, and home decoration.

Spanning a massive area with hundreds of individual showrooms, Modoko features over 350 elite brands and manufacturers and brings together a comprehensive range of styles, from classic Ottoman and traditional Turkish woodwork to ultra-modern, contemporary, and avant-garde designs.

For decades, Modoko served as a primary hub for interior designers, architects, homeowners, and international trade buyers looking for quality Turkish furniture manufacturing.

It is situated right next to major transport arteries on the Anatolian side, making it easily accessible for both local shoppers and international visitors sourcing Turkish design.

The World Cooperation Industries Forum (WCI Forum) served as a primary B2B trade platform designed to foster direct economic ties, investment partnerships, and commercial exchange between Turkey and African nations.

The forum convened business leaders, investors, and industrial manufacturers to encourage cross-border commerce and strategic industrial alignment.
