Elim City unveils estate project at Dumasua

Sunyani (Bono), Oct. 10, GNA – Elim City, a faith-based organisation, has launched a real estate project at Dumasua in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region to promote community development.

Dubbed “Elim City Estate,” the project is being undertaken by the church in partnership with Signum Development, a real estate developer.

The gated community project comprises residential apartments, serviced plots, a church, a school, a hospital, a hostel, and recreational facilities.

Other amenities include a football pitch, children’s playground, landscaped green spaces, and a restaurant.

Dr Gospel Odame-Kentoe, Senior Pastor of Elim City, said the project was designed to provide residents with access to essential services and amenities, while enhancing security.

He said serviced plots within the estate were selling for between GH¢250,000 and GH¢400,000, with flexible instalment payment options available to prospective buyers.

Speaking at the launch ceremony in Sunyani, Dr Odame-Kentoe said residential properties were priced from GH¢1.04 million for a semi-detached two-bedroom Type A house with a floor area of 85 square metres to GH¢3.2 million for a detached four-bedroom house measuring 225 square metres.

He explained that buyers would be required to make an initial deposit of five per cent, with the outstanding balance spread over a five-year payment period.

The prices, he noted, would remain valid for three months.

“We are about a holistic life, a healthy life and that is why we are building an estate that will have people of like minds living in a community, with a community school,” he stated.

Dr Odame-Kentoe said the project would create a conducive environment for families to raise their children, access education and healthcare services, and enjoy recreational activities.

He said the project had encountered funding, design, and implementation challenges since its conception about a decade ago.

However, the partnership with Signum Development helped address many of those challenges and positioned the project for successful implementation.

Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II, Paramount Chief of the Sunyani Traditional Area, described the project as a worthwhile investment.

He said extending development to emerging communities would help reduce congestion in rapidly growing urban centres.

The Paramount Chief urged the developers to consider extending the instalment payment period to allow prospective buyers more time to mobilise funds.

Mr Allen Harden, Corporate Sales Manager of Signum Development, said the cost of the plots reflected the additional amenities and services to be provided within the estate.

According to him, land in the area currently sold for about GH¢150,000, but the Elim City Estate offered added value through access to shops, recreational facilities and other essential services.

Mr Harden said prospective buyers could also access mortgage facilities through their banks to support the acquisition of properties within the estate.
