Accra, Sept. 02, GNA – Rev. Professor Clement Owusu Sarpong, the Founder of the Vision Unlimited Foundation, has embarked on distributing Bibles and other gospel literature to schools, churches and individuals across the 16 regions of Ghana to promote the word of God.
The items were donated by Mission Cry, USA, an international non-government organisation co-headed by Rev Woolford Jason and wife Maria, with the aim of ensuring that every person in Ghana owns a bible.
Rev Owusu Sarpong, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said so far, the Foundation had distributed the Bible and the Biblical literature in six regions, including Ashanti, some part of the Bono and Northerns Regions and the Savannah Regions.
He said it was gratifying to see congregation of worshippers of churches school children receiving the items with happiness.
Rev Prof Owusu Sarpong expressed the belief that they would make good use of them to uplift their spirit and transform their lives.
He stated that the gesture is a project by the Mission Cry, USA, and Vision Unlimited Foundation to spread the gospel through the distribution of the Bible and other books to enhance the knowledge of the people about God.
Rev. Prof Owusu Sarpong said they started the project over ten years ago in Accra where they distributed bibles to some churches and that the time had come to extend such support to others hence embarking on the 16 regions for them to also benefit.
