Kadjebi (O/R), Sept. 15, GNA – The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has opened nominations for its Constituency Executives’ Elections nationwide, and prospective aspirants are expected to submit their nominations between September 15 and 17, 2026.
Mr Eric Adjei, the NDC Deputy Director of Elections for the Akan Constituency, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview at Kadjebi in the Oti Region.
He said nomination forms were being obtained online at a fee of GH¢200.00 for all positions, while filing fees varied according to the positions being contested.
Mr Adjei said aspirants seeking the position of Constituency Chairman would pay a filing fee of GH¢5,000.00, while the Vice Chairman, Secretary and Organiser positions attracted GH¢3,000 each.
He said the filing fee for the Communication Officer position was GH¢2,500.00.
According to him, the Treasurer, Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Youth Organiser and Women’s Organiser positions attracted a filing fee of GH¢1,500 each.
He said aspirants contesting the Deputy Secretary, Deputy Treasurer, Deputy Communication Officer, Deputy Youth Organiser, Deputy Women’s Organiser and other youth representative positions would pay GH¢1,000 each.
The filing fee for the eight other executive member positions was GH¢500 each, he added.
Mr Adjei explained that female aspirants and persons with disabilities (PWDs) were required to pay 50 per cent of the prescribed filing fees for all positions, in line with the party’s measures to promote broader participation in the electoral process.
He urged prospective aspirants to take advantage of the nomination period and complete the necessary processes within the stipulated time.
Mr Adjei wished all aspirants success in the elections and urged them to conduct their campaigns in a manner that would strengthen the unity and cohesion of the party.
The NDC Constituency Executives’ Elections form part of the party’s internal electoral processes to select executives to lead its constituency structures.
