Sunyani, Bono, Sept 15, GNA – Mr Oliver Adu, the Operational Committee Chairman of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) of the Sunyani Ridge Experimental Cluster of Schools says the school has commenced the study of STEM for the 2026/2027 academic year.Â
He said that 120 fresh students were admitted offering the STEM courses for the 2026/2027 academic calendar.
Mr Adu explained that the school had five modern STEM laboratories furnished with smart learning boards and internet facilities to aid practical studies in physics, chemistry, biology, ICT and robotics.
During a visit, Mr Adu told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the school had 70 continuing STEM students.
However, he expressed concern about the bad condition of office furniture and appealed to the government and stakeholders to come to their aid and to procure new furniture.
Mr Adu said the school required frequent and stable electricity supply to facilitate effective teaching and learning of the STEM.
He called on the government to engage also non-teaching staff like security, cleaners and labourers. .
