Invest in children’s education with your limited resources for better future – Parents urged

Gomoa Kumasi (C/R), Sept. 15, GNA – An opinion leader at Gomoa Kumasi, Mr Lawrence Ketu, has advocated for parents to take full responsibility and invest their limited resources into their children to complement the Government’s free compulsory education policy.

He said the continuous investment in their ward’s education meant a better future and world for them, hence the need to play unique roles with their limited resources rather than wasting them on unfruitful ventures.

Mr Ketu gave the advice when he chaired a grand durbar of Chiefs and people of Gomoa Kumasi in the Gomoa West District, to round-up the celebration of their 2026 Ahobaaksese festival.

The festival held on the theme: “Uniting for development,” brought together people from all walks of life to participate in all the festive activities and contributed towards the peaceful celebration, for the development of the area.

Mr Ketu explained that providing children with their basic needs to supplement what the government was offering, would help champion their growth through the acquisition of the needed skills and knowledge to improve society.

“As parents we need to pay close attention to the movement of our children and help them to shun negative peer pressure, he said.

He urged parents to also increase and maintain investment in the proper grooming of their children, to help shape their moral and spiritual growth for a meaningful future.
