Dagomba Chief urges various tribes in Kintampo co-exist peacefully

Kintampo (Bono East), Sept 14, GNA – Naa Zakari Musah, the Dagomba Chief in the Kintampo North Municipality of the Bono East Region, has advised the various tribes in the municipality to remain tolerant and co-exist peacefully for development to thrive. 

He emphasised that peace and unity remained prerequisite and to facilitate the holistic development of the municipality. 

“Where settlers of different tribes abound, peace must also abound if we want development”, Naa Musah advised when speaking at a durbar to climax the 2026 annual Dagomba Warriors festival at Kintampo. 

He indicated that the Dagombas owed and paid allegiance to the Mo and Nkoranza Traditional Paramountcies, explaining that the festival was celebrated yearly and to strengthen unity, love and the prevailing peace of the municipality. 

Naa Musah stated that: “We owe allegiance to the Mo and Nkoranza paramountcies”, and urged the Dagombas to shun unnecessary gossip, saying that: “Gossip is the root of evil”. 

He called on the Dagombas to cherish and contribute towards strengthening the prevailing peace in the municipality, warning that: “Chieftaincy disputes and conflict remain destructive tools in any social setting”. 

As part of the celebration, the Dagombas who wore traditional regalia paraded through the principal streets of the Kintampo Township amid dancing and drumming to traditional songs.
