Accra, Oct. 21, GNA – The Greater Accra Regional Hospital, (Ridge), has appealed to the public to help identify the relatives of an unidentified female patient receiving medical care at the facility.
The woman was referred to the hospital from the Maamobi General Hospital following multiple injuries, including fractures to her right arm and forearm, after she was reportedly knocked down by a vehicle and abandoned at the scene.
According to information released by the hospital, good samaritans came to her aid following the incident.
The hospital said no relative had come forward to identify or visit the patient since her admission.
Despite the circumstances, the hospital said it had continued to provide her with medical care and support, including medications and other essential items.
It said it had also recently covered the cost of her surgery, while its medical team continued to attend to her recovery and well-being.
The hospital acknowledged the importance of family support and the presence of loved ones in the patient’s recovery, particularly during such a difficult period.
It is therefore urging anyone who recognises the woman or has information that could help identify her family or relatives to contact its Client Relationship Unit on 055 172 7552 or 024 394 9636.
The hospital also urged the public to share the appeal widely to increase the chances of locating the woman’s relatives and reuniting her with her loved ones.
It reaffirmed its commitment to providing compassionate care to patients, particularly those in vulnerable circumstances.
