Poase-Cement (O/R), Aug. 29, GNA – Pastor/Overseer Ebenezer Nyarko, District Pastor of the newly inaugurated Poase-Cement District of The Church of Pentecost, has called on officers of the district to be good disciples of Christ and work diligently to win more souls for the Kingdom of God.
He urged them to lead by example, demonstrate Christ-like character in their daily lives and remain committed to the teachings of the Bible to effectively influence others to accept Jesus Christ.
Overseer Nyarko said discipleship was essential to the growth of the Church, stressing that officers had a responsibility to nurture new converts, support their spiritual growth and encourage them to become committed followers of Christ.
He said the creation of the Poase-Cement District was a significant milestone that came with greater responsibilities for its officers and members to expand the work of God and reach more people in the communities.
Overseer Nyarko made the call when speaking after the handover ceremony as the District Minister following the inauguration of the Poase-Cement District at Poase-Cement in the Kadjebi District of the Oti Region.
The new district was carved out of the Kadjebi District of The Church of Pentecost and comprises Poase-Cement, Dafor Kordzi, Dzindziso, Mempeasem, Obuase, Titiaka, Brafoaso and Kordibenum assemblies of the Church.
He encouraged the officers to work in unity, humility, and love, saying their commitment and dedication would be crucial to the growth and development of the new district.
He also urged them to intensify evangelism and community outreach activities to bring more people into the fold of Christ.
Overseer Nyarko expressed confidence that with collective effort, prayer and obedience to God’s word, the new district would make a significant impact in the spread of the Gospel.
He urged congregants to support their leaders and actively participate in evangelism, adding that winning souls should be the collective responsibility of every Christian.
He prayed for God’s guidance, wisdom and strength for the leadership and members as they embarked on the new chapter of the Church’s ministry.
