Dambai (O/R), Aug. 29, GNA – The Ntrubo Union of Nkwanta has commended Mr Joseph Awal Antwi, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nkwanta South, for his leadership and contribution to the Municipality’s improved performance in public financial management.
The Union, in a citation presented to the MCE, commended him and the entire Nkwanta South Municipal Assembly for the significant improvement recorded in the 2025 Public Financial Compliance League Table.
According to the citation sighted by the Ghana News Agency (GNA), the Assembly improved from 261st position in 2024 to second position in 2025, describing the achievement as a significant demonstration of improved financial governance.
The Union said the feat reflected the Assembly’s commitment to financial discipline, accountability, transparency and prudent management of public resources, despite the numerous challenges confronting the Municipality.
It congratulated the MCE and the Assembly on the achievement and encouraged them to sustain the high standard of financial management and good governance.
The Union said maintaining improved performance would help strengthen public confidence in the Assembly and contribute to the continued socio-economic development of the Municipality.
The citation was signed by Mr Jones Bediako, Chairman; Mr Gershon Nyasemhwe, Secretary; and Nana Bour, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ntrubo Union.
