Kumasi, Aug. 27, GNA – Nasara Organisers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region have pledged their support for Alhaji Saalim Bamba, a former Ashanti Regional Nasara Organiser, in his bid to become the party’s National Nasara Organiser.
The endorsement was announced at a consultative meeting held in Kumasi as part of Alhaji Bamba’s campaign activities ahead of the NPP’s national internal elections.
The meeting provided an opportunity for him to interact with regional and constituency Nasara Organisers and seek their support and prayers for his candidature.
Addressing the organisers, Alhaji Bamba expressed appreciation for the support he received during his eight-year tenure as Ashanti Regional Nasara Organiser.
He outlined his achievements and experiences during the period and said his decision to contest for the national position was motivated by the desire to strengthen the Nasara Wing of the party.
According to him, a stronger and more vibrant Nasara Wing would enhance the party’s engagement with Zongo and settler communities and contribute to its mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2028 general election.
Alhaji Bamba pledged to establish a participatory framework that would assign specific responsibilities to regional and constituency Nasara Organisers while prioritising their welfare and capacity development.
He said empowering and motivating organisers at all levels would improve the effectiveness of the Nasara Wing and deepen its contribution to the party’s activities.
The Regional and Constituency Nasara Organisers offered prayers for Alhaji Bamba and pledged their support for his bid to become the National Nasara Organiser.
The meeting was attended by Mr Abdul Razak Abubakar, Ashanti Regional Nasara Organiser; Mr Mohammed Salisu Bamba, former Member of Parliament for Ejura-Sekyedumase; Chairman Nsosakia Abagna, former Ashanti Regional Financial Secretary; Mr Frederick Agyemang Mensah, Kwabre East Constituency Chairman; Mr John Wesley, Ahafo Ano South East Constituency Chairman; and Mr Isaac Adu, Ejura Constituency Chairman, among others.
