Adaklu Kodzobi (V/R), July 9, GNA – Togbe Dzegblade IV, Chief of Adaklu Kodzobi Wednesday donated four laptop computers to the Adaklu Kodzobi District Assembly Basic School at a ceremony at the school.
The total cost of the laptops is estimated at GHS40,000.
Togbe Dzegblade, speaking at the presentation ceremony, stated that the laptops were to support the digital skills and academic success of the pupils of the school.
“This is my widow’s mite to help the pupils acquire digital skills and thrive academically in this emerging digital world,” he said.
Togbe Dzegblade urged parents not to shy away from investing their resources into their children’s education to the highest level.
He stated that the future returns on such an investment were enormous.
The Chief promised to add another six computers soon and appealed to citizens of the community to help equip the school’s ICT laboratory with more computers.
He entreated the pupils to be serious about their studies and make their books their best friends.
Togbe Dzegblade urged them to use every second of their time, profitably adding “those who use their time profitably and burn the midnight candle.”
Mr Patrick Anku, a teacher at the school, who received the laptops on behalf of the Headteacher thanked the Chief for the donation.
He pledged that the laptops would be used for their intended purpose to benefit the pupils.
