Russian strikes kill at least four in southern and eastern Ukraine

Kiev, July 2, (dpa/GNA) – Russian attacks killed at least four civilians in southern and eastern Ukraine on Wednesday, regional authorities said.

In the southern Odessa region, a Russian missile strike killed at least two people and injured 13 others, military governor Oleh Kiper said on Telegram. The attack caused damage to the premises of a business, he said, adding that a fire triggered by the strike had since been extinguished.

In the eastern city of Kharkiv, Russian bomb attacks also left at least two civilians dead, according to officials. Mayor Ihor Terekhov said on Telegram that around a dozen other people were injured in five impacts across the city. Ukraine has been defending itself against Russia’s full-scale invasion for more than four years.
