Bame (V/R), Oct. 18, GNA – Mr Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ho West, has undertaken a three-day constituency-wide engagement to interact with residents and support farmers with 5,000 bags of 50-kilogramme NPK fertiliser.

The engagement, which began on October 15, 2026, formed part of his parliamentary recess activities and provided a platform for constituents to discuss their concerns and development needs directly with the MP.

It also sought to strengthen his engagement with farmers and other groups across the constituency.

Speaking to Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mr Bedzrah said the fertiliser would support agricultural production, while staff of the Education Directorate, teachers, assembly members and farmer groups were also included in the broader engagement.

The exercise covered several communities across the constituency over the three days.

The first phase took the MP and his team to Bame, Kpale Xorse, Kpalega, Etordome, Hlefi, Wadaxame, Anfoeta Gbogame, Anfoeta Tsebi and Saviefe Gborgame.

The team subsequently visited the Abutia enclave, engaging residents of Dzoawokpe, Sebekorfe, Mawudekako, Sonume, Woeme, Kpota, Adegblevi, Dakekorfe and Andokofe.

The final phase covered Dededo, Tsiamikorfe, Borkorvikorfe, Sekekorfe, Anyirawase, Kwanta and Avenui Camp.

Mr Bedzrah described the the exercise as successful and expressed gratitude to residents for the discussions, which provided opportunities to hear their concerns and expectations.

However, the proposed fertiliser support had also prompted questions from some constituents about the selection of beneficiaries and the fairness of the distribution.

Some of the farmers underscore the importance of transparent beneficiary-selection criteria and clear communication about the distribution of the 5,000 bags.

They said it would ensure that eligible farmers across the constituency had a fair opportunity to benefit.
