Manso Nkwanta (Ash), July 06, GNA – Mr Owusu Mensah, the incumbent NPP Constituency Chairman for Manso Nkwanta, has pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation as part of measures to consolidate party unity and secure victory in the 2028 general elections.
Mr Mensah, who is seeking re-election, said the strengthening of internal structures and the active engagement of all party members at the grassroots level remained critical to the NPP’s electoral success, particularly as the party seeks to recapture political power.
He was speaking to journalists after successfully completing his vetting process ahead of the upcoming constituency executive elections scheduled for July 11, 2026.
He emphasised that unity within the party base would be a defining factor in the NPP’s ability to win the next general election and support the candidature of the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
According to him, recent political developments had demonstrated the need for renewed commitment and coordination among party members, insisting that stronger mobilisation structures must be built across all polling stations and electoral areas.
Mr Mensah further maintained that the party’s grassroots strength would be revitalised through inclusive engagement, adding that all factions within the constituency would be brought together to work towards a common political objective.
He also expressed confidence that the NPP remained well-positioned to regain the trust of Ghanaians, stressing that, sustained mobilisation and unity would be central to achieving that goal.
Some aspirants, who also took part in the vetting process, pledged their commitment to party unity and assured their readiness to support collective efforts aimed at securing electoral victory in 2028.
The vetting exercise forms part of broader internal processes by the NPP to elect constituency executives ahead of the next general election cycle.
