Accra, July 12, GNA – The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Guinness World Record holder, Sharon Dede Padi, affectionately known as “Padiki,” describing her death as a huge loss to Ghana’s tourism and creative arts sector.

In a tribute, the Authority said Padiki was a symbol of resilience, determination, creativity and youthful excellence, whose remarkable achievement brought pride to Ghana and inspired many young people to dream beyond limitations.

The tribute, signed on behalf of the Authority by Mrs Maame Efua Houadjeto, the Chief Executive Officer, said Padiki’s courage to pursue extraordinary goals demonstrated that passion, perseverance and hard work could make the impossible possible.

It noted that her untimely death had deprived the nation of one of its brightest ambassadors whose story reflected innovation, excellence, and the immense potential of Ghanaian youth.

The Authority extended its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, loved ones and all who were inspired by her journey, praying for strength, comfort and peace for them during the difficult period.

It said although Padiki’s life had been cut short, her legacy would continue to inspire generations of Ghanaians to pursue greatness with courage and unwavering determination.

“Ours are the many questions, but God alone has the answers,” it added.

The GTA prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and assured that her memory would remain cherished by the nation.
