Nkwanta (O/R), July 11, GNA- Mr Joshua Makubu, former Oti Regional Minister, has appealed to delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to elect constituency executives who are committed, selfless, and willing to make sacrifices to help the party return to power in the 2028 general elections.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency after casting his vote in the ongoing constituency executive elections in Nkwanta South, the former minister stressed that the future of the party depends on the quality of leaders elected at the grassroots level.

He urged delegates to put aside personal interests, friendship, and financial inducements and instead vote for candidates with proven dedication, integrity, and the capacity to unite the party.

According to him, the NPP can only regain the confidence of Ghanaians if it remains united and elect leaders who are prepared to work tirelessly for the growth of the party.

He noted that constituency executives play a crucial role in mobilizing members, strengthening party structures, and preparing the party for future electoral victories.

Mr Makubu, therefore, encouraged delegates to carefully assess the track records of all aspirants before casting their votes.

The former minister further called on all contestants to maintain peace before, during, and after the elections, emphasizing that internal unity is essential for the party’s success.

He expressed confidence that with committed leadership and unity, the NPP would be well-positioned to recapture political power in the next general election.
