Five incumbent NPP constituency executives go unopposed in Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency

      Barekese (Ash) July 7, GNA – Five constituency executives of the NPP in the Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency in the Ashanti region are contesting the upcoming constituency primaries unopposed. 

They are Abdul Salam Issah, chairman, Dora Peprah, first vice chairperson, Pius Boateng treasurer, Doris Appiah, women organizer, and Ali Ibrahim, Nasara organizer. 

Other candidates who are contesting for various positions are Eric Essumang and Kwaku Danso, for second vice chairmanship position, Raphael Osei Wusu and Collins Acheampong, constituency secretary position, Bernice Wiredu and Regina Adu Abowah, for the assistant secretary position. 

The rest are, Prince Appiagyei and Kofi Arhin, aspiring for constituency organizer Darko Kufour and Ntiamoah Kwadwo, youth organizer, as well as Isaac Owusu Ansah and Gabriel Twumasi, communications officer position. 

Mr Bright Kofi Adusei, the constituency Research and Elections Director, speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Barekese, appealed to both the aspirants and their supporters to remain law abiding throughout the process. 

He said the NPP was established, managed and identified as a party with rule of law and this must therefore, be maintained by all its generational members and supporters to sustain the values and heritage of the party. 

This, he said would strengthen the good image and foster the fortunes of the party towards the 2028 general elections and beyond. 

Mr Adusei urged the aspirants to canvass their supporters to remain united, peaceful and understanding within the party before, during and after the constituency elections since it was just the beginning of the campaign journey. 

“We need to apply our usual united and harmonious strength that leads our campaign messages and strategies for electoral victories”, he stated. 

Mr. Asiedu however, commended the seven persons who stepped down for the incumbents since their decisions were in line with the needed party unity and cooperation.
