Accra, Sept. 12, GNA – Bernice Offei, a Ghanaian gospel musician, has died at the age of 63.
According to reports, she passed away on September 12, 2026.
It comes few days after she was reported missing. She was however, later found.
The cause of her death is not yet known.
Bernice Offei was known for her inspirational music and contribution to Ghana’s gospel music industry.
Some of her popular tracks include “Life Is Short,” “No One Compares,” “Nyame Aye Bi Ama Yen,” “Whom Am I,” “Me Gyefo Te Ase,” “Suomo” and “Your Handiwork.”
Other songs credited to her name include “Take Your Glory” and “Hold On,” which contributed to her popularity among gospel music lovers.
She was also a recipient of music awards, including Best Female Vocal Performance and Songwriter of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards in 2009.
Her music touched on themes of faith, gratitude, perseverance and the goodness of God.
Bernice Offei also had a career spanning several years as a Banker and was recognised for her distinctive vocal style and faith-based music.
The news of her death is expected to be met with tributes from colleagues, family, friends and gospel music lovers.
She leaves behind a body of work that continues to inspire audiences within Ghana and beyond.
Her songs remain part of the rich history of Ghanaian gospel music.
