Makro (Ash), July 13, GNA – The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Delegates in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency in the Ashanti Region have elected Dr Eugene Danquah Ofori-Appiah, a 43-year-old Lawyer and Entrepreneur, as their new Constituency Chairman.
The election was conducted and supervised by Mr Sampson Ofori-Gyamfi, the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipal Electoral Commission Officer, and observed by some national and regional executives of the NPP.
The election, held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, saw Dr Ofori-Appiah polled 742 votes to defeat Mr Stephen Boateng, the incumbent chairman, who garnered 621 votes.
Other executives elected included Akwasi Appiah as 1st Vice Chairman, Sir John, as Constituency Secretary, Oheneba Asiedu, as 2nd Vice Chairman, Dr Simon as Deputy Secretary, and Isaac Kusi Boateng as Constituency Organiser.
The rest are Mr Emba Sarfo Dominic as Youth Organiser, Thadeus Opoku Takyi, as Treasurer, Janet Amoako as Women’s Organiser, Abdul Razak Amoah as Communications Director, and Latif Agyei as Nasara Coordinator.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency after his victory, Dr Ofori-Appiah expressed gratitude to delegates for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to prioritise unity within the party to secure victory for the NPP in the 2028 general election.
Madam Shirley Kyei, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, praised the delegates for the manner they conducted themselves which ensured a smooth process.
She promised to work diligently with all party members to ensure peace and unity ahead of the 2028 election.
