Downpour delays Tano North NPP constituency elections

Tanoso (Ahafo) July 11, GNA – A downpour delayed the commencement of voting in the Tano North Constituency elections of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ahafo Region. 
 
Polling, however, started around 0900 hours instead of 0800 hours after the rains receded in the elections being conducted and supervised by the Electoral Commission at Tanoso in the constituency. 
 
During a visit, the Ghana News Agency (GNA) noticed sat patiently, as voting progressed at the polling center. 
 
A total of 1,107 delegates are expected to cast their ballots to decide on the 28 candidates contesting for the 10 constituency executive positions of the NPP in the area, the GNA learnt. 
 
The positions include constituency chairman, first vice and second vice chairman, secretary, deputy secretary, youth organizer, women organizer, Nassara coordinator and the Nassara organizer positions.
