Aspirant urges NPP to leverage technology, capture registered members in database

Sunyani, (Bono), July 17, GNA-The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been urged to take advantage of technology and capture every registered member in a database.

“I am an IT person and am confident that if we have every registered member of our party in the database, we can build a more resilient party for the Election 2028”, Mr Kassim Siaka, an NPP aspirant stated.

Mr Siaka, an internal auditor gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after he filed his nomination forms to contest for the Bono Regional Treasurer position of the NPP.

The NPP has opened nominations for the conduct of its regional executive elections scheduled for August 2026.

Mr Siaka noted that the NPP ought to leverage technology and a solid database that identified the occupation and needs of the registered members of the party.

“By doing so we can easily identify and support our members when we come back to power in 2029”, he stated.

Mr Siaka said it would be unfortunate if the party regained political power in the Election 2028 and failed to address the employment and other basic needs of its members.

“But we can’t address the needs of our members if we don’t have a solid database”, he stated.

He added that: “With my IT and accounting background, I am well positioned to develop a secured database for the party in the region”.

Mr Siaka, who is presently pursuing MPhil in accounting, advised the party delegates in the region to consider his expertise, make informed decisions and vote for him when they go to polls in the general interest of the NPP.
