Western Nzema Traditional Council calls on Lands Minister

Accra, June 04, GNA – Awulae Kwasi Amakyi III, the Paramount Chief and President of the Western Nzema Traditional Council, has led a delegation from the Council to pay a courtesy call on Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, in Accra. 

Members of the delegation included, Nana Avo Neha V, Divisional Chief of Tikobo No.2; Nana Nyamekeh Annor IV, Chief of Bonyere; and Nana Mozuma I, Queenmother of Amokwaw Suazo. 

The meeting focused on a wide range of critical issues vital to the development of the traditional area and the Jomoro Municipality. 

The Petroleum Hub Development Corporation, PHDC, project featured prominently on the agenda, with special emphasis on land administration and the payment of compensation to affected farmers and landowners. 

For his part, Mr Buah, who doubles as Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, expressed profound gratitude to Awulae Amakyi and the delegation for the visit. 

He assured the Western Nzema Traditional Council of government’s readiness to expedite processes to fast-track the take-off of the PHDC project to create more jobs for indigenes of Jomoro and change the economic fortunes of the area. 

He also expressed his commitment to work with the MP and Municipal Chief Executive to deliver critical infrastructural projects in the Jomoro Municipality.
