Twifo Praso (C/R), June 19, GNA — The Central Regional Minister, Mr. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, has called on media houses, pastors, and traditional leaders to consistently advocate for improved sanitation in their communities to foster cleaner environments.
He noted that such sustained advocacy would help ease the pressure on government funds currently being spent on sanitation, allowing resources to be redirected to other important development projects.
Mr. Eduamoah made the appeal during a visit to the Twifo Atti-Morkwa 24-hour economy market site at Twifo Praso.
He highlighted the influential role these leaders play in addressing sanitation challenges and expressed his ambition for the Central Region to become the cleanest in Ghana.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Mr. Isaac Yawson, pledged his support for the Regional Minister to achieve the objective. He also expressed gratitude to President John Mahama for his appointment and promised to ensure the completion of the market project during his tenure, reinforcing both sanitation and economic development goals.
