New DZOSEC Headmistress seeks stronger partnership with Ketu North Assembly

Dzodze (V/R), June 02, GNA – Ms. Vivienne Sessi, the newly appointed Headmistress of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School (DZOSEC), has paid a courtesy and familiarisation visit to the Ketu North Municipal Assembly to formally introduce herself and strengthen collaboration between the school and the Assembly. 

The visit, which formed part of her assumption of office activities, provided an opportunity for discussions on the development of the school, improving academic performance, and addressing some of the challenges confronting the institution. 

Ms. Sessi expressed her appreciation to the Municipal Assembly for its continued support to education and pledged to work diligently with all stakeholders to reposition DZOSEC as one of the leading second-cycle institutions in the Volta Region. 

She assured the Assembly of her commitment to improving discipline, teaching and learning outcomes, and creating an enabling environment that would promote academic excellence and holistic development of students. 

The Headmistress noted that achieving meaningful progress would require strong partnerships among the school, the Municipal Assembly, parents, old students, and the wider community. 

“I am committed to working with all stakeholders to transform the fortunes of DZOSEC. Together, we can address the challenges facing the school and build a stronger institution that will continue to serve the educational needs of the municipality,” she said. 

Reverend Martin Amenaki, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ketu North, welcomed the new Headmistress and assured her of the Assembly’s readiness to support initiatives aimed at improving educational outcomes in the municipality. 

He described education as a key pillar of local development and stressed the Assembly’s commitment to collaborating with educational institutions to enhance infrastructure, discipline, and academic performance. 

Rev. Amenaki encouraged the Headmistress to engage continuously with stakeholders and pursue innovative strategies that would help improve standards at the school. 

“The Assembly remains committed to supporting DZOSEC and other educational institutions within the municipality. We believe that quality education is essential for the development of our communities and the nation at large,” he said. 

The MCE also expressed confidence in the leadership of Ms. Sessi and wished for her success in her new role. 

Mr. Bernard Sakyiama, the Ketu North Municipal Coordinating Director, welcomed the Headmistress to the municipality and pledged the Assembly’s administrative support in her efforts to advance the growth and development of the school. 

He noted that effective collaboration between educational institutions and local authorities remained crucial to addressing challenges and promoting sustainable development in the education sector. 

The meeting afforded both parties the opportunity to exchange ideas on strengthening discipline, enhancing academic performance, and exploring areas of cooperation to improve teaching and learning at the school. 

The visit highlighted the importance of partnership and stakeholder engagement in advancing educational development and ensuring that students receive quality education within the Municipality.
