Atebubu, (Bono East) June 8, GNA-Mr Musah Shaibu, Atebubu-Amantin Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bono East Region, has advised ethnic groups in the area to tolerate each other’s cultures and work together to promote unity and development.

He called on residents to eschew violence and lawlessness, noting that such acts could undermine the prevailing peace in the municipality and stall development.
Mr Shaibu gave the advice when he addressed the 2026 edition of the Atebubu “Sala” festival organised by the Atebubu zongo community.
He also called for political tolerance saying despite their ethnic and political differences, they were one people with common national development goals and aspirations.
“Let’s be advocates for peace since we can’t live and progress with disunity,” Mr Shaibu advised.

He also urged the Government to address persistent power outages that were making life difficult for residents and threatening their economic activities and businesses.

The annual festival, which seeks to promote culture and tradition, brought together various ethnic groups including the Fulani, Bisa, Mossi, Dagomba, Sissala, Mamprusi, Konkomba, Gonja, and Dagaari, who showcased their rich and diverse cultural heritage.
