The North Tongu District Chief Executive (DCE), Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, has inspected the ongoing construction of the Free Primary Health Care Centre at Adudornu-Zortikpo, reaffirming the Assemblyâs commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare services across the district.
The inspection, conducted on Thursday, formed part of the Assemblyâs project monitoring and evaluation activities aimed at ensuring the timely execution of critical infrastructure projects and the efficient utilisation of public resources.
Mrs Doe toured the facility and interacted with project personnel to assess the progress of work and verify compliance with the approved scope and implementation schedule.
Addressing stakeholders during the visit, the DCE described the project as a strategic investment in the districtâs healthcare system and a significant intervention towards achieving equitable access to essential health services.
âThis facility represents a major investment in the health and wellbeing of our people. Upon completion, it will significantly improve access to primary healthcare services for residents of Adudornu-Zortikpo and adjoining communities, while easing the burden associated with travelling long distances to seek medical care,â she stated.
She noted that the project aligns with the governmentâs broader agenda of strengthening healthcare infrastructure and bringing quality health services closer to underserved communities.
Mrs Doe commended John Dramani Mahama for his commitment to improving healthcare delivery through sustained investments in social infrastructure. She also acknowledged the instrumental role of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa in championing development initiatives within the constituency.
âThe government remains committed to ensuring that no community is left behind in the provision of essential social services. This project is a testament to that commitment and reflects our collective resolve to improve the quality of life of our people,â she said.
The DCE reaffirmed the Assemblyâs determination to ensure the successful completion of the project within the stipulated timeframe and according to the required standards.
âWe will continue to provide the necessary oversight to ensure that this important facility is delivered on schedule and to specification, so that the people of Adudornu-Zortikpo and neighbouring communities can fully benefit from improved healthcare delivery,â Mrs Doe added.
