Accra, May 21, GNA – The State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) has disassociated itself from the upcoming 10th Ghana CEO Summit and Expo, warning against any perceived affiliation.
A statement issued by the Authority said it had neither authorised nor entered into any formal partnership with CEO Network Ghana, organisers of the summit.
Signed by the Corporate Affairs Unit, the statement said SIGA had observed that CEO Network Ghana, also known as Chief Executives Network Ghana, was presenting the Authority as a collaborating partner in promotional materials for the event.
“The Authority wishes to state clearly that such representations are unauthorised, misleading, and do not reflect any existing relationship or agreement,” the statement emphasised.
SIGA said it had formally objected to the use of its name and institutional identity and requested the immediate removal of all related references from promotional platforms.
It said the organisers had not complied with the directive, necessitating the issuance of a public disclaimer.
The Authority reiterated its commitment to transparency, institutional integrity and due process in line with the State Interests and Governance Authority Act, 2019 (Act 990).
It stressed that the use of its name or logo in connection with external events required formal approval and a documented agreement, adding that no such agreement existed in relation to the Ghana CEO Summit.
SIGA advised prospective participants, sponsors, exhibitors and the public not to construe the appearance of its name or logo in promotional materials as endorsement of or affiliation with the summit.
The Authority also urged media organisations and broadcasters to avoid presenting SIGA as a partner or affiliated institution in coverage or advertisements relating to the event.
SIGA reaffirmed its commitment to partnerships that supported Ghana’s economic development agenda and called for adherence to ethical standards in the use of institutional identities.
