Italian police arrest man linked to deaths of two women near Naples

Rome,May 18, (dpa/GNA) – Italian police said on Monday that a man has been arrested, on suspicion of murdering two women on separate occasions in recent days, at an abandoned building site near Naples.

Media reports said the 49-year-old suspect is believed to have killed the women by pushing them from the upper floors of the building, after allegedly refusing to pay for sexual services.

The bodies of a 29-year-old Italian woman and a 49-year-old Ukrainian woman were found on the site in Pollena Trocchia, a town at the foot of Mount Vesuvius. Police said they were alerted after a couple saw the suspect enter the site with a woman and later leave alone carrying a handbag.

Investigators later traced and arrested the man. Police believe the two killings took place separately over the past few days.
