Accra, May 20, GNA – Implementers, a not-for-profit organisation, has announced the 2026 edition of the Climate Forward Summit (CFS 2026), aimed at promoting practical solutions in waste management, recycling and clean energy towards a sustainable economy.
The summit, scheduled for July 9, 2026, at the Executive Conference Centre of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in Accra, is expected to bring together stakeholders from government, private sector, civil society organisations, development partners among others.
Premised on the theme: “The Circular Transition: Integrating Waste-to-Wealth Pathways and Clean Energy for Ghana’s Green Industrialisation,” the event would focus on addressing the growing climate and waste management challenges.
In a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency, the organisers noted that the country continued to face increasing challenges with plastic, textile and electronic waste, which were affecting the environment, public health and the economy.
The summit would create a platform for stakeholders to move beyond isolated efforts and collaborate on practical and sustainable solutions rooted in circular economy principles.
“CFS 2026 sought to address this by creating a space where stakeholders could move beyond working in isolation and collaborate on practical, lasting solutions grounded in circular economy principles,” the statement said.
The Climate Forward Summit is a flagship climate event established to encourage dialogue and strengthen partnerships within the country’s climate space.
Activities lined up for the summit include high-level panel discussions, keynote sessions with climate experts and policymakers, interactive roundtable discussions, exhibitions showcasing innovations in recycling and waste management and sustainable production.
The summit would help drive conversations into collective action towards building a more sustainable and climate-resilient future.
