Abutia Kpota (V/R), May 02, GNA – Mr Francis Profer Dusey, the District Chief Executive of the Ho West District Assembly, has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development following a successful community engagement at Abutia Kpota.
The meeting brought together a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including the Chief of Kpota, Torgbui Tsali, opinion leaders, assembly members, and youth representatives.
Their presence reflected a unified front of traditional authority, local governance, and the younger generation, all working collectively toward the development of the community.
Addressing participants, the DCE emphasised the importance of dialogue and collaboration in governance.
He noted that such engagements were essential for identifying pressing community needs and ensuring that development initiatives aligned with the expectations of the people.
“Development must be driven by the voices of the people,” he stated.


Traditional leaders, led by Torgbui Tsali, welcomed the initiative and underscored the significance of continuous engagement between government and communities.
They reiterated their readiness to support policies and programmes that promoted peace, unity, and progress within the district.
Youth leaders also actively participated in the discussions, raising concerns and proposing ideas aimed at improving livelihoods and opportunities within the area. Their involvement highlighted the critical role of young people in shaping the future of the community.
The engagement created an open platform for interaction, where issues affecting the community were discussed, frankly. It also strengthened trust between the assembly and residents, fostering a sense of shared responsibility for development.
The meeting demonstrated a strong spirit of unity and cooperation among all stakeholders.
It reinforced the commitment of both leadership and residents to work together in addressing challenges and advancing the well-being of Abutia Kpota.
