Takoradi, May 19, GNA – The Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly (EKMA) in the Western Region has developed a dashboard to enable residents to track the state of development projects being executed in the municipality.
Dubbed: the “EKMA Project Tracker”, the platform seeks to promote public accountability and transparency by providing detailed information on the status of both ongoing and completed projects undertaken by the Assembly.
It captures the location of the projects, source of funding, and details of project clients and consultants.
Mr Abdul-Majeed Dokurgu, the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the tracker formed part of his administration’s initiative to promote accountability and transparency in the discharge of their mandates.
He said it would give residents the opportunity to monitor ongoing and completed projects, check timelines, and gain first-hand perspectives of how public funds were utilised.
“This tracker has been developed by me and my team to build a progressive, responsive, and accountable municipality that will ensure equitable service delivery across every community,” the MCE noted.
