Mr Edem Ackuaku, Chief Executive Officer of Delmark Agro, explained that the initiatives formed part of ongoing efforts to equip farmers with practical knowledge, strengthen collaboration among stakeholders, and improve food production within the Municipality.

He indicated that the symposia are also expected to focus on climate-smart agriculture, irrigation, soil management, and sustainable farming approaches amid changing weather conditions.

Mr Ackuaku, mentioned that Mr Daniel Dagba, Akatsi South Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Raphael Kofi Ahiable, Assembly Member for the Avenorpedo Electoral Area and Presiding Member of the Akatsi South Municipal Assembly, and others are all expected to host the programme.

He revealed that a similar initiative scheduled for Thursday, May 21, would be held at the Akeve Gui M/A Basic School within the Municipality.

The event is expected to bring together farmers, agricultural stakeholders, extension officers, and community members to deliberate on issues affecting agriculture, including climate change, modern farming techniques, and sustainable food production.

That programme, also being organised in collaboration with the Akatsi South Municipal Assembly, is expected to engage farmers and stakeholders on modern agricultural practices, productivity improvement, and strategies to address climate-related farming challenges.

Delmark Agro in recent times has undertaken several agricultural initiatives within many adjoining communities aimed at empowering farmers through education, stakeholder engagement, and agribusiness support.

Some beneficiary farmers within the Municipality who spoke to the Ghana News Agency, commended the initiative and expressed optimism that the symposiums would help improve farming practices and strengthen networking among farmers and agricultural experts.
