‘Baba Amando’ pledges to establish welfare system for NPP communicators

Sunyani, (Bono), May 18, GNA-Mr Abubakari Yakubu, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications Officer hopeful in the Bono Region has pledged to establish a welfare system to cater for the emerging needs of the party’s communication teams at the various constituencies in the region. 

“We are going to establish a working welfare regime to address the age-old problems confronting our loyal party communicators in the region”, Mr Yakubu, popularly known in the political space as “Baba Amando” he stated. 

“As a party in the region we must do more to improve the welfare of our communicators to do more to bring us back to political power”, he added. 

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani, the aspirant said he is vying for the Bono Regional Communications Officer position of the NPP to create an innovative environment and to make the party’s communication’s appealing. 
 
“This welfare system will be established and achieved within my two-years administration”, Mr Yakubu assured, saying that the party is required to empower its communicators to market the ideologies of the NPP. 
 
He said the NPP needed innovative strategies to market its Election 2028 flagbearer, former Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia both on the digital space and at the grassroot levels. 
 
Mr Yakubu appealed to the party delegates to ensure that they make informed decisions by giving him the nod to lead the NPP communications office in the region, assuring that he would leverage his ‘connections’ beyond the shores of the country to turn round the fortunes of the party in the Election 2028.
