Goaso, (Ahafo), May 30, GNA-Alhaji Mohammed Unus, the Deputy Ahafo Regional Chief Imam has cautioned Muslim youth against substance abuse, alcoholism and acts of lawlessness. 

Rather, he urged them to focus on their education and to build a better future for themselves, warning that substance abuse and alcoholism would ruin their future. 

Alhaji Unus gave the caution when he addressed Muslim gathering at Goaso to mark the Eid-ul-Adha celebration, worrying that substance abuse and illicit drugs use had become a major concern in the country. 

He also advised Muslim families to ensure the proper upbringing and development of their children for them to grow to become useful adults and also monitor the movements of their youth too. 

Mr Yakubu Lezer, a Muslim leader, also expressed concern about indecent dressing among Muslim girls nowadays, saying that cast a slur on Islam. 

He said the Quran Holy frowned on irresponsible behaviours and lifestyles and urged the Muslim youth to be disciplined and responsible. 

Alhaji Mustapha Ibrahim, the Tao North Deputy Chief Imam also urged Muslims to remain faithful to Allah by complying with the sound teachings of the Quran beyond the festive season. 

He noted that sacrifice and obedience attracted blessings while waywardness and indiscipline attracted curses from Allah. 

Mr Haruna Mohammed, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asunafo North advised the Muslim youth to be moderate and peaceful in their celebrations.
