Westline (WR), April 22, GNA – The 96-year group from the Takoradi Senior High School, TADISCO have cut the sod for the construction of a summer hut for the tutors and students of the school.

The hut would serve the tutors and students in terms of outdoor learning or individual discussions and as a place for leisure after a hard day’s academic or extra curriculum duties.

Reverend Lawrence Ampong Adjei, the chairman for TADISCO 1996 said the project afforded the team an opportunity to invest in the future of the current population of the school.

“This has been our dream since we came back for the 30 years anniversary of the school.”

Mrs Gloria Biney-Gontor, EKMA District Director of Education who joined in the sod cutting praised the team for thinking and taking action to help the school.

She called on all alumni to regularly engage with the school and contribute to the wellbeing of the school.

Mrs. Biney-Gontor said; “looking around, I see the need for repainting of the school…organise, seek sponsors from these paint manufacturers and fix this problem also “.

Mrs Cynthia Ackon, Headmistress of the school thanked the group for their thoughtfulness.

Mr Philip Fiifi Buckman, the Kwesimintsim constituency MP, and an old student pledged his commitment to the development needs of the school.
