Kumasi, April 12, GNA – Prudential Bank Limited has called on its suppliers to prioritise efficiency, ethical sourcing, and mutual trust to enhance service delivery across its operations.

The call was made at the Bank’s 2026 Supplier Conference, held under the theme: “Partnering Our Suppliers to Deliver Excellent Customer Service.”

The third edition of the conference brought together suppliers from various sectors to review past performance, address emerging challenges, and align expectations for the year ahead.

Key issues discussed included payment turnaround times, sustainability, and the integration of technology into the supply chain.

Mr. Felix Apau Awuku, Executive Head of Operations at the Bank, acknowledged the critical role suppliers play in the institution’s success.

He explained that the conference was not meant to scrutinise contractual obligations, but rather to recognise and strengthen partnerships that drive shared success.

“For us, you are not vendors; you are strategic partners who contribute directly to delivering excellence to our customers every day,” he said.

Mr. Awuku outlined the Bank’s priorities for the year, including streamlining processes to reduce lead times, promoting responsible sourcing and environmentally friendly practices, and leveraging artificial intelligence to improve demand forecasting.

Mr. Carlos Ebow Arko, Head of Procurement, also underscored the importance of maintaining high standards within the supply chain.

He cited data showing that businesses that digitally integrate with suppliers can achieve up to 25 per cent improvement in performance and a 20 per cent reduction in operational costs.

He urged suppliers to deliver the right quality, quantity, and pricing within agreed timelines, while adhering to ethical standards.

“We do not accept supplies linked to child labour or unethical practices. Our sourcing must be responsible and sustainable,” he stated.

Mr. Arko further stressed the need for trust and collaboration, noting that strong partnerships were essential to overcoming challenges and achieving long-term growth.
