By Alex Baah Boadi, GNA

Sefwi-Adabokrom (WN/R), April 25, GNA — A total of 921 candidates have registered to write this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Bia East District of the Western North Region.

The candidates, comprising 488 males and 433 females, are from 31 public, and nine private schools.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency ahead of this year’s examination, Mr Patrick Boadi, Bia East Examination Coordinator, said preparations were far advanced and would be written in four designated centres within the district.

He used the opportunity to advise candidates and major stakeholders to avoid examination malpractices.

“I urge the candidates to concentrate on what they have been taught and avoid cheating in order not to be punished,” he added.
