Atebubu (Bono East) April 7, GNA- The Reverend Richard Nyamekye, the Atebubu Area Head of the Church of Pentecost in the Bono East Region has appealed to Christians to allow the power in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to transform their lives.

He advised Christians to use the Easter festivities to deepen their faith with God, when addressing hundreds of congregants of the Church at an Easter convention at Atebubu.

Rev. Nyamekye, also the Leader of the Atebubu branch of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) said that “The essence of Easter goes beyond celebration”.

He urged Christians to reflect on the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for humanity, appreciate that and repent from the sins, and build their relationship with God.

“It’s consistent for a person to claim to be a Christian who believes that God came to die for him or her yet continues to live in sinful practices like fornication and other acts of immorality”, the Reverend Minister stated.

He encouraged Christians to renew their dedication to righteousness, uphold, defend, and adhere to sound biblical teachings, and allowed the power in the death and resurrection of Christ to shape and transform their lives.
